We Would Love to Hear From You

Den of Eve is built by people, for people learning to grow, preserve, prepare, heal, and thrive. If something here has helped you, raised a question, or sparked an idea, we want to know about it. New to Den of Eve? Start Here is a good place to get oriented before you write, since many first questions are already answered there.

We keep this page simple on purpose. There is no ticket system to navigate and no form with a dozen required fields standing between you and an actual person. Write to us the way you would write to someone you already knew was going to read it carefully, because that is exactly what happens on the other end.

General Questions

If you have a question about a Field Guide, something you read in the Knowledge Garden, or Den of Eve itself, write to us. We read every message, even when a reply takes a little time during busy planting or harvest seasons.

A few details help us answer faster. If your question is about a specific plant, naming it and mentioning roughly where you are gardening, your general climate or region rather than an exact address, lets us give an answer that actually fits your situation instead of a generic one. If your question is about the website itself, a note on what page you were on and what you expected to happen is more useful to us than a general description of something being wrong.

Collaboration

We are always glad to hear from fellow gardeners, herbalists, homesteaders, and educators who see an opportunity to work together. If you have an idea for something we could build, write, or grow alongside you, tell us about it. This has ranged, in practice, from a simple offer to share seed to a fuller proposal to co-write a Field Guide on a plant we had not yet covered. We would rather hear an early, rough idea directly than have someone assume we are not open to it and never write in the first place.

Educational Inquiries

Teachers, librarians, and program leaders are welcome to reach out about using Den of Eve material in a classroom, workshop, or community program. We are glad to talk through what is possible, whether that means permission to print a Field Guide for a class handout, a conversation about adapting content for a specific age group, or simply pointing you toward the entries most relevant to what you are teaching.

Media

Working on a story about home gardening, herbalism, food preservation, or modern homesteading, and think Den of Eve might be a useful voice or resource? Get in touch and let us know what you need, whether that is a quote, background context on a specific plant or practice, or a conversation about the project itself. Please include your deadline in the first message. It is the single detail most likely to determine whether we can actually help in time to be useful to you.

Speaking

If you are organizing an event, conference, or gathering and think our perspective on stewardship and practical self reliance would be a good fit, we would welcome the invitation. Tell us a little about the audience and the format, whether it is a small community workshop or a larger conference session, since that shapes what kind of talk actually makes sense to offer.

Partnerships

From seed companies to small makers to fellow educators, we are open to partnerships that stay true to what Den of Eve stands for: preparedness without fear, and knowledge worth passing on. We are more interested in a partnership that genuinely fits our readers than one that simply pays well, and we would rather say no to a mismatched opportunity than compromise the trust this project depends on.

Before You Write

A number of the most common questions we receive are already answered somewhere on the site, and checking first can often get you a faster answer than waiting for a reply. General orientation questions, what Den of Eve actually is and where to begin, are covered on Start Here. Questions about a specific plant are usually answered in that plant’s own Field Guide in the Herbarium, particularly in its Safety Notes and Growing Guide sections. Questions about what the site offers overall, including what is still being built, are covered on the Offerings page.

None of this is meant to discourage you from writing. If you have checked and still have a question, or if your question is really about something else entirely, we would still rather hear from you directly than have you leave without an answer.

What to Expect

We are a small team, and we read every message ourselves rather than routing them through an automated system. That means a genuinely thoughtful reply, but it also means response times vary with the season. Messages sent during a heavy planting or harvest stretch may take a little longer to answer than ones sent in a quieter month. If your message has a real deadline attached to it, media inquiries in particular, please say so plainly near the top so we can prioritize accordingly.

Reach Us

However you would like to connect, the fastest way to reach us is by email at hello@denofeve.com. Tell us a little about why you are writing, and we will find the right person to answer. We read everything that comes in, even during our busiest seasons, and we would rather take a few extra days to give you a real answer than send back something quick and generic just to close out the message faster.
